NH 3-SEASON CAMPING & MOTELS

Gorham/Sherbourne/Jefferson, NH
Dolly Copp Campground (USFS): Huge campground, close to the Northern Presis, has group site as well as indv. sites
White Birches Camping: Very inexpensive stay in upstairs hostel, same price to camp outside, cabin rentals too
Fort Jefferson Campground: Mostly for the RV owners, but there a number of camping sites past all that. Some sites very slanted, some good flat and secluded. Water available, simple bathhouse w/showers and toilets.
RMC Cabins & Shelters: On the mountain shelters for a rustic stay (Mt. Adams), also available in winter
Royalty Inn: Clean, spacious rooms, indoor pool & hot tub an sauna (good for winter), mini fridge
White Mountain Lodge & Hostel: Clean, wonderful place. Bunk price includes hot breakfast (open during summer season)

Berlin/Stark/Dixville Notch, NH
Cedar Pond Campground: Clean, decent space, has heated outhouses in camping spot on the hill which is more isolated and quiet than others
Coleman State Park: Clean, small, quiet park near a small pond, grassy spacious sites, bathhouse, store, showers, boat ramp, one lean to.

Twin Mountain/Zealand, NH
Ammonoosuc Campground: Camping with mini lean-tos at each site, bathhouse, laundry machines and free hot showers (seasonal RV sites as well)
Profile Deluxe Motel: Clean motel, nice owners. Good for winter use, outdoor pool in summer, a few cottages out back, free wifi, mini fridge
Johnsons Motel: Inexpensive, family owned. Has motels rooms, cottages, and a house you can rent for 8 or so people
Four Seasons Motor Court: Feels luxurious for TM, clean, spacious rooms, full bathtubs, nice owners. Good for winter use, outdoor pool & game room in summer, free wifi, mini fridge
Zealand/Sugarloaf Camping: No frills, pit toilet bathrooms, can rent for one night only, great hiking access, some sites are first come first serve, some reservable (Pro-Sports)

Crawford Notch State Park, NH
Dry River Campground (NH State Parks): Camping right in the Notch, reservations can be made online for some sites, has bathouse
AMC Shapleigh Bunkhouse/Highland Center: Price includes all you can eat breakfast. Excellent location to hike the Southern Presis, Mt. Washington Via the Ammonusuc Tr, Cross-country or alpine skiing, etc.

Conway/North Conway, NH
Conway White Mountains Hostel
Clean, well situated place with plenty of places to eat, shop, etc. Inexpensive bunks, private rooms available, a nice kitchen and common room.

Lincoln, NH
One Step at a Time Hostel: Operated by a local man named Chet, the hostel sleeps 6, bunk beds, dogs welcome, 3 night max. Work for stay or donation. Camping out back. Just after the Red Sleigh Inn and Lincoln Library.

Kancamagus Highway, NH
Various WMNF Campgrounds: No frills, great hiking access, some areas are first come first serve availability (Pro-Sports)

Evans Notch, NH/ME
Various WMNF Campgrounds: No frills, great hiking access, first come first serve availability (Pro-Sports)


MAINE 3-SEASON CAMPING & MOTELS

Grafton Notch, ME
Grafton Notch Campground: Nice little site, close to Grafton Notch Loop trailheads
Balsam Woods Campground: Full service campground close to Monson.

East Andover, ME
 The Cabin in Maine: Great little place for Maine AT thru or section hikers

Stratton, Maine
White Wolf Inn: AT hiker friendly, thin walls, great food in restaurant downstairs. Microwave, fridge and AC. Close to Bigelows and Sugarloaf USA.
Spillover Motel: Just a motel down from WWolf, basic, quiet. Cereal, microwave and fridge in Office area only.

West Central Maine
Maine Huts and Trails: Luxurious hut and bunkhouses for a great price in SouthWest Maine, includes full meals, heat, electricity, fireplace, library, etc. Perfect for winter hiking/x-c skiing options, several hut to hut skiing opportunities.
